The North York Moors Chamber Music Festival celebrates and explores great chamber music, inspired by and within the context of a magnificent National Park and its coastline.
Passionate about breaking down barriers and making music accessible to all, the festival has built upon its strong reputation for bringing communities and artists together to promote culture through the medium of friendship and collaboration.
Each year a new theme takes the listener on a musical quest during a fortnight in August when the famous heather is in full bloom and the moors are at their most majestic.
The audience’s journey through the landscape is an extension of the concert experience, whilst the artists who are ensconced within the North York Moors National Park enjoy a truly holistic experience. The music reflects nature which in turn mirrors it back.
It is with such pleasure to be launching our pivotal 13th festival during what is clearly, for our times, a new Epoch.
