Tausky lived at 17 The Parade in Leamington at one point and it was from there that he went with the Czech Free Army ambulances, based where Boots now is in The Parade, into Coventry immediately after the blitz and he wrote a very moving string quartet as a result of seeing the bombed cathedral. Coventry has since been performed in Leamington, Coventry.
